Oscar nominations are less than a month away, so it’s the perfect time to get awards show fans excited for the 2014 broadcast. Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting the Academy Awards for the second time. She last helmed the show in 2007.
The video kicks off with the daytime talk-show host donning a tux and bursting out of the door in song. She lip-syncs to “The Walker” by indie group Fitz and The Tantrums. As she walks through the back lot of Warner Brothers Studio in Burbank, California, DeGeneres is joined by 250 dancers who are also dressed in their black-and-white best.

The trailer will run in theaters beginning Jan. 3. It was directed by Paul Feig whose work is familiar to audiences for films such as The Heat and Bridesmaids. The choreography was done by newlyweds and So You Think You Can Dance alums Stephen “tWitch” Boss and Allison Holker.
In a press release, Feig shared, “To work with Ellen, tWitch Boss, Allison Holker and 250 amazing dancers to the music of Fitz and The Tantrums to promote the Oscars for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences was an absolute dream come true. Just typing that sentence made me giddy and exhausted. I’m going to lie down now.”
